Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, who was arrested for sitting on hunger strike at Gurdwara Amb Sahib and subsequently released from jail on Monday, again sat on hunger strike at the above Gurdwara Sahib on Tuesday.
Khalsa was on hunger strike at Gurdwara Amb Sahib located in phase 8 since November 14 to demand the release of six Sikhs who were languishing in jails even after completion of their jail terms.
Bhai Gurbaksh Singh who was getting wide-spread support from all quarters was arrested in a midnight swoop by Punjab Police. His arrest was termed virtual abduction by those present on the scene on the night of December 6 when a team of policemen in civvies had virtually lifted him to take him away in a vehicle.
He was taken to a Civil Hospital and later sent to Ropar Jail. After he was granted bail on Monday, Bhai Gurbaksh Singh was taken to the PGIMER, Chandigarh from where he was discharged on today.
Bhai Gurbaksh Singh on Tuesday reached Gurdwara Amb Sahib where Bhai Damandeep Singh, a resident of Ludhiana was continuing the fast initiated by Bhai Gurbaksh Singh.
Bhai Gurbaksh Singh, despite his ill-health, has again started fast at the Gurdwara Sahib reiterating that he would continue the same till his demand was met.
