Thousands attend Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal’s Marriage Ceremony

Known Sikh preacher and Chief of ‘Panthic Sewa Lehar’ Sant Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal today tied nuptial knot with Bibi Sukhmit Kaur Khalsa at a historic Gurudwara in village Sarainaga, near here.

The well-attended ‘Anand Karaj’ ceremony was completed as per ‘Gurmaryada’ Wednesday afternoon in Gurdwara 2nd Patshahi Shri Guru Angad Dev ji at Sarainaga.

Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala’s Hazuri Raagi Jatha of Sri Harmandar Sahib recited performed Gurbani Kirtan  from Shri Guru Granth Sahib.

Bibi Sukhmit Kaur Khalsa is also from a ‘Amritdhari’ family.  She is the daughter of Dr. Gurmit Singh, a resident of Mandi Bariwala in the district of Muktsar.

Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal who heads Panthic Sewa Lehar had been in news for his opposition to the objectionable activities of Dera Sirsa Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim.

Those who attended the marriage ceremony include Shiromani Akali Dal Amritasr president Simranjit Singh Mann, Radha Soami Satsang Dera Beas Chief Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon, Baba Sarabjot Singh Bedi former president of Sant Samaj, Bibi Karan Kaur Brar MLA Muktsar Sahib, Dyan Singh Mand ex-MP, Rajdev Singh Khalsa ex-MP, Dal Khalsa president Harchranjit Singh Dhami, Panch Pardhani president Harpal Singh Cheema, AISSF president Karnail Singh Peermohammad, various Sants, Babas and heads of religious organisations.

Two persons who spoke on the occasion to bless the newly-weds included SAD Amritsar president Simranjit Singh Mann and Bhura Sing. Bhura Singh represented Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon chief of the Radha Soami sect and spoke even as Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon was himself present there.

People in the sangat felt it when Bhura Singh who started his speech with ‘Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh’ said ‘Radha Soami ji Sahai’ while concluding the speech. Bhai Mohkam Singh, convener of the Khalsa Action Committee conducted the stage.

A source said around three to four thousand people were present.
