Body recovered in Awantipora suspected to be of a Sikh Engineer

A body recovered by police from Awantipora area of south Kashmir on 18th of April is suspected to be of a Sikh Engineer Jagdeep Singh Bali who went missing two months ago under mysterious circumstances.
Police had found a body from Jhelum River at Charsoo in Awantipora area of Pulwama district which had not been identified as yet.
A.S. Bali, the son of the Sikh Engineer Jagdeep Singh Bali has said that after seeing the photograph of the deceased he can say that it has strong resemblance to his father.
Jagdeep Singh Bali was working in state’s Public Health Engineering Department and had gone missing on February 18. He has not been traced after he left his Magarmal Bagh home.
The police during investigation had traced his location in the vicinity of Aloochibagh area on February 18th till 11.00 pm but the phone was switched after that.
Superintendent of Police, Awantipora, Irshad Ahmad told media that the Police were in the process of ascertaining the identity of the deceased.
