natLudhiana, January 25, 2015 (Yes Punjab News)

Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Manish Tewari today said that the Saturday's Congress rally at Amritsar where over one lakh people participated was indicative of mood for change in Punjab.

In an informal conversation with reporters after inaugurating a tubewell at Daba Colony here today, Tewari observed that the number of people and the leaders from across the state present at the rally proved beyond any doubt that there was an overwhelming mood for change in the state and the people had expectations from Congress and Capt Amarinder.

He said, the people of Punjab had great expectations from the Congress as Akali-BJP government has completed failed them. He observed that when people compare the eight years of Akali-BJP regime with the previous five years of Capt Amarinder, they want that regime back at the earliest.

Tewari expressed confidence that with the excitement of people seen at Amritsar yesterday, there is hardly any doubt about the Congress coming back to power in Punjab. He said, yesterday's rally will prove the beginning of the end for the Akali-BJP regime in Punjab.

Among others present on the occasion included Pawan Dewan, Palwinder Singh Taggar, Baljinder Bunty, Gursimran Singh Mand, Sunny Kainth, Rajnish Chopra, Deepak Hans, Pappal Kapoor, Dr. Onkar Chand Sharma, Kamal Sharma, Bhadur Singh.
