The Punjab government has directed its all offices to create their Email IDs so that a system could be put in place for better correspondence between them.
According to a communiqué sent by General Administration department to all Financial Commissioners/Principal Secretaries and Administrative Secretaries, all departments have been asked to create their Email IDs besides mentioning of it in all official correspondences has also been made mandatory.
Disclosing this here today a spokesman of the State government said that an Email account/address of each department and further their all wings should created through Information Technology department and the said department should be contacted immediately for this purpose. The spokesman added that this information was being provided to Hon’ble Punjab & Haryana High Court and if any department, board and corporation have not yet created its Email Id then it should get it created at the earliest.
The spokesman further said that every administrative department has been directed to verify that Email IDs of their all offices has been created.
