Jalandhar DCP Parmbir Singh Parmar issues various Ban Orders

Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr Parambir Singh Parmar has imposed a ban on the carrying of firearms during the weddings or any public event.

 

Exercising the powers vested under Section 144, Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, Deputy Commissioner of Police has asked the owners of all marriage places, banquet halls to install CCTV cameras in their premises for the maintenance of law and order. 

 

Mr Parmar has also imposed ban on any type of procession, carrying of weapons in procession, gathering of five or more persons and raising slogans in the jurisdiction of commissionerate police. 

 

Further, he ordered that all villages falling under the city’s jurisdiction should hold Thikri Pehras (night patrol) from 8 pm to 5 am. He also asked the panchayats to inform local SHOs about the persons who would be part of night patrol team.

 

These orders would remain in force from February 9, 2019 to April 8, 2019.
