Jalandhar DC hands over appointment letters to 172 youth in job fair organized under ‘Ghar-Ghar Rozgar’ scheme

Gearing up for providing jobs to the unemployed youth of district under the state government’s ‘Ghar-Ghar Rozgar’ scheme, the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma distributed appointment letter to 172 such youths selected for the jobs during ‘Job Fair’ held at the DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology.

 

During the job fair organized by the Employment generation department 385 applicants had applied for the jobs. On the occasion three companies viz. V Con Integrated Solutions, HDFC Life Insurance and Shri Ram Fortune selected 172 such applicants and offered them jobs in their companies. On the occasion 26 applicants were selected by V Con Integrated Solutions, 55 by HDFC Life Insurance and 91 by the Shri Ram Fortune. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Jitendra Jorwal handed over the appointment letters to 172 selected youths.

 

Complimenting the successful youth, the Deputy Commissioner said that it was a red-letter day of their life as they were going to start a new inning in their lives. He said that it was just a beginning the marvelous success story which all of them were going to script in the future. Mr. Sharma said that the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s dream to provide job to every youth would be fulfilled every soon.

 

The Deputy Commissioner said that this Rozgar/ Job Fair was just the beginning and many more such job fairs would be organized in coming days to offer employment opportunities to the youth. He said that district administration was already on task of roping in key Industrial Units and leading entrepreneurs to provide job to the youth. Mr. Sharma said that the ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ scheme of the Captain government was all set to transform the destiny of the youth of state by providing job opportunities to them. 

 

Meanwhile, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration has already started the process of providing employment to 8900 such youths from the rural areas who would be provided jobs in the coming days. He said that youth selected during this job fair include Matric, 10+2, Graduate and Post Graduate.     

 

Earlier, District Employment Officer Ms. Ranjit Kaur and Employment Officer Mr. Harmanpreet Singh welcomed the Deputy Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner.
