Now, the Police have been requested to act against Master Saleem.

Police have called Master Saleem and registered his statement.

ADCP Gagan Ajit Singh, talking to your website ‘Yes Punjab’ said that the woman had after being hit by a vehicle about 2 months ago and the police had then gone for inquest proceedings under section 174 of CrPc but now a complaint has been received against Saleem which is being investigated.

Gagan Ajit Singh, however, said that Master Saleem’s father Ustad Puran Shahkoti has claimed that Saleem was named because of an old dispute with the family.  “He has handed over a CD to us to prove that the families have an issue between them”, the police officer said.

“The investigation is still on and I would submit my report soon”, Gagan Ajit added.

‘Yes Punjab’ tried to contact Saleem but his phone was switched-off. It then called his brother Peji who told that Saleem was very much there but would be available only in the evening.

However, Peji rubbished the charges against his brother and said that these were false and motivated. 'Yes Punjab' would definitely publish any further version of Saleem or his family, as and when it comes.
