Singer Master Saleem accused of hit and run : Police investigating

Jalandhar Police are investigating a complaint regarding a hit and run case against Punjabi and Bollywood playback singer Master Saleem.
The complainant has alleged that while driving his vehicle recklessly in Jalandhar, Saleem, caused the death of an elderly lady.
A city resident, Bimla, has filed a complaint with Gaurav Yadav, Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar who had marked the inquiry to ADCP City-2 Gagan Ajit Singh.
As per complaint the incident happened in Abadpura locality where Saleem lives. The elderly women was a neighbour of the singer and lived just opposite Saleem's house in a rented accommodation.
Bimla has alleged that her mother-in-law Parkasho died after being hit by a vehicle due to which she died. The vehicle didn’t stop and fled the scene.
Now, the Police have been requested to act against Master Saleem.
Police have called Master Saleem and registered his statement.
ADCP Gagan Ajit Singh, talking to your website ‘Yes Punjab’ said that the woman had after being hit by a vehicle about 2 months ago and the police had then gone for inquest proceedings under section 174 of CrPc but now a complaint has been received against Saleem which is being investigated.
Gagan Ajit Singh, however, said that Master Saleem’s father Ustad Puran Shahkoti has claimed that Saleem was named because of an old dispute with the family. “He has handed over a CD to us to prove that the families have an issue between them”, the police officer said.
“The investigation is still on and I would submit my report soon”, Gagan Ajit added.
‘Yes Punjab’ tried to contact Saleem but his phone was switched-off. It then called his brother Peji who told that Saleem was very much there but would be available only in the evening.
However, Peji rubbished the charges against his brother and said that these were false and motivated. 'Yes Punjab' would definitely publish any further version of Saleem or his family, as and when it comes.
